PROGRAM RECORDING DEVICE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program recording device which can appropriately store the program not to be erased.

SOLUTION: This recording device has a data decoding section 21 to input the program information, an infrared remote control 50 making recording reservations, a medium controller 60 to write or erase the data containing the program contents on the recording medium, and a microcontroller 40 incorporating a clock/graphics function to store the program information inputted from the data decoding section 21 and to make the medium controller 60 record the program. The infrared remote control 50 can make overall reservations of the various recording/erasing operations in units. The medium controller 60 can record the programs when recording the programs belonging to the program group consisting of the overall reserved programs by erasing the programs in the program group already recorded previously.
