PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of adjusting the humidity of a copying paper satisfactorily for a long period of time in spite of a comparatively simple configuration, and to provide an image forming device provided with it and a humidity adjusting method. SOLUTION: A CPU 201 is driven based on a predetermined program recorded in a RAM and stored in a ROM 202, puts a detection signal from a humidity sensor Q1 detected within a fixed time into a wet condition of a humidity adjusting sheet 1, and records it in the RAM 203. Humidity is adjusted by obtaining inclination of a curve based on the detection signal and opening or closing an electromagnetic valve V1 at predetermined timing or controlling driving of a fan of a fan unit 207.
