PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of paper carrying performance such as diagonal paper feed while maintaining paper sorting performance by a simple structure. SOLUTION: An LCC (large capacity paper feeder) 1 comprises a pickup roller 3 in contact with the upper surface of an uppermost paper P1 positioned at the uppermost part of a paper P placed on a loading plate 21 within a predetermined height range D during the paper feeding, an air blowing mechanism having a blower 9 blowing to the uppermost paper P1 air by a force set in the direction of being sorted from the other paper P placed on the loading plate 21 or the loading plate 21, and a pressing member 40 in contact with the upper surface of the uppermost paper P1 on the upstream side more than the pickup roller 3 in the paper carrying direction (direction of the arrow Z) during the paper feeding.
