PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of printing at an appropriate position by correctly carrying a print medium in an appropriate state. SOLUTION: Feed rollers 13d, 13f, resister rollers 14d, 14f, and a resister roller 16 are arranged from a paper feed part 12 in this order. After the print medium 2 is abutted on the resister rollers 14d, 14f by the feed rollers 13d, 13f to correct the attitudes, the resister rollers 14d, 14f are driven at a speed lower than the carrying speed of the print medium to carrying the print medium 2 in the carrying direction. When the print medium is detected by a resister sensor 16, the resister rollers 14d, 14f are stopped, and the print medium 2 is on standby in the held state by the resister rollers 14d, 14f.
