PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seating detection device capable of certainly detecting seating of a person over a wide range using three rows or more of pressure switches without causing complexity of the whole of a system and a large size. SOLUTION: In the seating detection device, the pressure switches are provided on a seat by a plurality of rows of three rows or more. Mutually independent switch contacts T3A, T3C and a switch contact T3B spaced in a seat thickness direction relative to the switch contacts T3A, T3C and made conductive to these switch contacts T3A, T3C when a predetermined or more of seating pressure is applied are provided on the pressure switches S3 in an inner side row. A pair of switch contacts T3A and T3B and the pressure switches S1 in an adjacent row are connected to each other by a first series circuit 6, and the pair of switch contacts T3C and T3B and the pressure switches S5 in an adjacent row are connected to each other by a second series circuit 7.
