METHOD FOR PREDICTING SUSCEPTIBILITY TO RADIATION PNEUMONITIS

Provided is a method for determining whether an individual is likely to b e susceptible to radiation pneumonitis from radiation therapy and for develo ping a treatment based on the determination of susceptibility. The method in volves measuring SOD and GPX activity levels. A high SOD or low GPX activity , or a combination thereof, is indicative that the individual is likely to b e susceptible to radiation pneumonitis.
