PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of preventing intrusion of insects from a drain hose with a simple constitution, and preventing leakage of air from the drain hose. SOLUTION: In this indoor unit of the air conditioner receiving a heat exchanger 3, a blower fan 2 for delivering the indoor air to the heat exchanger 3 to exchange heat, and a drain pan 5 comprising a drain hose 6 for storing the condensed water generated by the heat exchanger 3 and discharging the condensed water to the outside of a room, in a main body 1, an opening and closing cover 7 is disposed on a drain outlet 5a of the drain pan 5 connected with the drain hose 6.
