PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial culture soil having excellent permeability, enabling more healthy growth of plants and having excellent biodegradability. SOLUTION: The artificial culture soil contains (A) a chemical fiber and (B) a nonionic surfactant and has a penetration time of 2.5-6.5 sec measured by a prescribed method.
