摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device having high selectivity, being a small-sized analyzer dispensing with a vacuum system. <P>SOLUTION: Two kinds of atmospheric pressure ion sources, namely, an atmospheric pressure ion source (non-dissociative atmospheric pressure ion source) for generating mainly molecular weight-related ions and an atmospheric pressure ion source (dissociative atmospheric pressure ion source) for generating mainly dissociated ions, are provided on an ion mobility spectrometer, to thereby provide a switching mechanism between the non-dissociative ion source and the dissociative ion source. A database is provided, wherein characteristic values (an ion mobility or values related thereto) of the molecular weight-related ions generated from the non-dissociative ion source and the dissociated ions generated from the dissociative ion source are registered relative to each measuring object material. When ions agreeing with the database are detected respectively in both modes of the non-dissociative ion source and the dissociative ion source, it is determined that the measuring object material is detected. In this case, existence of the dissociated ions is checked during operation of the non-dissociative ion source, and existence of the molecular weight-related ions is checked reversely during operation of the dissociative ion source, and the result is allowed to contribute to determination, to thereby improve reliability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
