PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management device capable of recording/preserving, as information allowing a user to view it by a simple operation, imaged data of an electronic camera using, as an information recording medium, a randomly-accessible recording medium having overcome drawbacks of a recording medium capable of executing only sequential information description and reproduction like a conventional video tape, and recording imaged information in the randomly-accessible recording medium. SOLUTION: For an image file in several seconds to several tens of seconds that is created in imaging, a menu allowing a user to simply designate it in reproduction is automatically created according to a condition such as an imaging time range, and the image file and the menu are described in a writable large-capacity recording medium.
