Disclosed are an electronic apparatus for connection with media device and an operation method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the operation method comprises: a step of transmitting connection information to a server in order for connection to the electronic device; and a step of forming a connection to a media device which has acquired identifier information with regard to an exclusive channel generated by the connection information. According to the present invention, a user may easily share content through the connection between the electronic device and the media device.
