An atomizing component and an electronic cigarette. The atomizing component comprises an atomizing sleeve (201) and an electric heating wire (202). An atomizing electrode (300) is inserted at an extremity of the atomizing sleeve (201). The atomizing electrode (300) comprises an inner electrode (302), an insulating ring (303), and an outer electrode (301). The electric heating wire (202) is connected at either extremity respectively to a first electronic wire (203) and a second electronic wire (204). A first through hole (304) is provided through the outer electrode (301) to allow the first electronic wire (203) to be in a first preset state; and/or, a second through hole (305) is provided through the inner electrode (302) to allow the second electronic wire (204) to be in a second preset state. This allows a reduced number of operating steps and avoids the possibility of improper operation causing damage to other components of the atomizing component; this also allows effective prevention of short circuit within the atomizing component. |
