PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a Z-direction particle penetration strength of a non-conductive material.SOLUTION: A sample compression force and a penetration depth in each sample are measured using: a conductive micro-indenter automatically moveable in a Z direction; a sample stage capable of carrying multiple samples and automatically movable in X-Y directions; and an electrical resistance loop between the conductive micro-indenter and the sample stage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
