PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which prevents a door member from protruding from a machine tool body while securing a relatively large observation window.SOLUTION: An NC lathe (a machine tool) includes: a lathe body 2 (a machine tool body); and a door opening/closing mechanism 10 for opening and closing a front surface side opening of the lathe body. The door opening/closing mechanism 10 has: a first door member 12 disposed at one side of the front surface side opening; and a second door member 14 disposed at the other side. A width of the first door member 12 is larger than a width of the second door member 14 in a lateral direction. An observation window 18 for checking a processing area is provided at a predetermined portion of the first door member 12. It is desirable to connect the first door member 12 with the second door member 14 by an interlock mechanism 16. The structure allows the second door member 14 to be opened or closed in conjunction with opening or closing of the first door member 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
