PURPOSE: A method of producing grass for smoking cessation using ginko leaves is provided which is adapted for enabling a gradual withdrawal from dependancy or addiction to smoking using the grass that is not detrimental to the human health. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises drying ginko leaves and preparing a filtrate thereof; precipitating the filtrate in an aqueous solution obtained by mixing 20 wt% of zeolite or charcoal with 80 wt% of water for 6-12 hours, sharply cooling and dehydrating the resultant product at a temperature of -20 deg. C or below, and drying the same using hot air; precipitating the dried filtrate in an aqueous solution obtained by mixing 10 wt% of spice such as licorice root or cinnamon with 90 wt% of water for 3-6 hours, and drying the same using hot air; mixing 90-95 wt% of the resultant filtrate with 5-10 wt% of starch as an adhesive agent, and dehydrating to reduce a water content to approximately 20%; and cutting and packing the resultant product into a tobacco shape.
