PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring gasket for a welded type plate heat exchanger capable of improving positioning stability, and suppressing the occurrence of breakage by improving the rigidity of an entire connection part formed by connecting an engaging part for temporarily being joined to a heat transfer cassette and a ring body for liquid-tightly sealing between opening peripheral edges of the heat transfer cassettes. SOLUTION: The ring gasket is provided with the annular ring body 300 for sealing the opening 11a peripheral edges of the adjacent heat transfer cassettes 10 to make internal passages A in the heat transfer cassettes 10 communicate with each other, an engaging part 301 engaged in a temporarily joining hole 113 on an outer side from a weld line W of the heat transfer cassette 10, and the connection part 302 for connecting the ring body 300 and the engaging part 301. The connection part 302 is structured by connecting an outside connection part 302a connected to the engaging part 301 and an inside connection part 302b connected to the ring body 300 by interposing one or more reinforced parts 302c having rigidity greater than those of the outside connection part 302a and the inside connection part 302b.
