A resin material for molding is provided to contribute to significant reduction of molding shrinkage, to realize moldability into a small thickness, and to obtain molded articles having high dimension precision and stability against thermal deformation. A resin material for molding comprises a thermoplastic resin, fly ash type I and silica fume, wherein the silica fume has an average particle diameter corresponding to 1/10 or less of the average particle diameter of the fly ash type I, and the fly ash type I and the silica fume are combined in a weight ratio of 20/80-80/20. Particularly, the fly ash type I has a particle diameter of 0.5-80 micrometers and the silica fume has a particle diameter of 0.01-0.5 micrometers. The resin material further comprises a fibrous reinforcing agent. |
