<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel with a glass substrate, which is incresed in strength against pushing force applied to the surface. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel comprises: a color filter substrate in which a color filter layer is formed on one surface of a glass substrate; an array substrate; and a liquid crystal sealed between the color filter substrate and the array substrate. In the liquid crystal display panel, a film having tensile stress is formed between the glass substrate and the color filter layer.
