<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference of a grommet and a peripheral component or a body panel by enhancing the stiffness of the grommet partially regardless of the number of wires inserted into the grommet. <P>SOLUTION: The grommet of an elastic body enclosing a wire group stretched between a body panel and a movable body being hinged on the body panel comprises a short large diameter tubular portion provided, at the opposite ends in the length direction thereof, with annular grooves latching onto through holes made in the body panel and the movable body, respectively, a long small diameter tubular portion continuous to the short large diameter tubular portion, and a bellows tubular portion provided continuously between the small diameter tubular portions on the opposite sides. The bellows tubular portion is bent into U-shape when the movable body is closed, and the small diameter tubular portion on the latching side of the body panel and the bellows tubular portion at a part continuous to the small diameter tubular portion are provided, at a part of the outer circumference thereof, with ribs projecting continuously in the length direction. The rib is projected from the outer circumferential surface of a large diameter crest and a small diameter root of the bellows tubular portion provided alternately, and outward bending of the bellows tubular portion is controlled by the stiffness of the rib. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
