<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply pump 1 capable of reducing seizure between a plunger 6 and a cylinder body 5 even when discharge pressure is increased. <P>SOLUTION: In the supply pump 1, the wall surface of the cylinder body 5 defining a circular path 29 is processed irregularly and forms fins 30. Fuel flowing through the circular path 29 has low temperature and low pressure and can be effectively used as a radiated heat recipient for heat generation (sliding heat) caused by sliding between the plunger 6 and the cylinder body 5. In order to cause the wall surface of the cylinder body 5 defining the circular path 29 to effectively function as a heat radiation surface, the wall surface is processed irregularly to provide the fins 30 and the heat radiation area for the sliding heat is increased. The heat radiation capacity for the sliding heat is resultantly increased and seizure between the plunger 6 and the cylinder body 6 can be reduced even when the discharge pressure is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
