The cooking device control (28) comprises a group of heating units (22) and a control unit (30). A signal processing device (32) is provided with a signal processing unit (36.1) for the supply of a sub-group of heating units and another signal processing unit (36.2) for the supply of another sub-group of heating units. The former signal processing unit is used for the processing of a signal with a current phase. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating arranged preparation dishes on a cooking plate.
