PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compatible the improvement in the efficiency of a compression type refrigerating device and reduction in the initial cost and running cost of a refrigerating system as a whole by controlling a refrigerating capacity of an absorption type refrigerating device corresponding to the change of an operating condition at a compression type refrigerating device side, in the absorption type refrigerating device driven by the exhaust heat of an engine driving the compression type refrigerating device. SOLUTION: When a temperature of a cooled fluid at an outlet of an evaporator reaches a target temperature calculated on the basis of an outside air temperature and a condensation temperature of the compression type refrigerating device or lower, an absorber is controlled to decrease its refrigerant absorbing capacity, simultaneously the amount of a refrigerant flowing into the evaporator is decreased by closing a refrigerant solenoid valve to decrease the refrigerating capacity, and furthermore, the refrigerant from a condenser is stored in a refrigerant tank. When the temperature reaches the target temperature or higher, the refrigerant absorbing capacity of the absorber is decreased, simultaneously the refrigerant in the refrigerant tank is allowed to flow into the evaporator by opening the refrigerant solenoid valve to increase the refrigerating capacity. According to this constitution, the improvement of the efficiency of the compression type refrigerating device and the reduction of initial costs and running costs of the refrigerating system as a whole can be made compatible.
