摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current cutoff device and a secondary battery, comprising a structure adapted thereto that allows a weld between a reverse plate and a rivet to be surely performed without largely setting a melting part to which a laser beam is irradiated.SOLUTION: A current cutoff device 90 comprises: a first high melting point layer 70 that is disposed to a position of an inside of a radial direction from a peripheral end part 33t in a peripheral part 33 of a reverse plate 30, and is formed by using a high melting point member instead of the reverse plate 30; and a second high melting point layer 80 that is disposed to the position of an outside of the radial direction from a rising wall part 45t to which a peripheral end part 33t of the reverse plate 30 faces in a step part 45 of the rivet 40, and is formed by using the high melting point member instead of the reverse plate 30, and the peripheral part 33 of the reverse plate 30 and the step part 45 of the rivet 40 are fixed by welding with the laser beam in a state of abutting the peripheral part 33 of reverse plate 30 and the step part 45 of rivet 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
