摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of accurately measuring an amount of light emitted from an end face of an optical fiber even when the end face is not a right-angled end face, and to provide a method capable of measuring loss at a connection portion of an optical fiber using the same.SOLUTION: A device of measuring an amount of emission light comprises at least: an optical fiber holder 11 that can fix a measurement target optical fiber A with a tip end part thereof projected from one end of the optical fiber holder; a light emission part 12 that is longer than the projected tip end part of the optical fiber A in length, and is provided with a through hole having an inner diameter equal to or larger than an outer diameter of the optical fiber A and attached to the one end of the optical fiber holder 11 so as to have the tip end part of the optical fiber A housed in the through hole; a refractive index matching material 13 that is filled in the through hole 12a of the light emission part 12; and an optical sensor 14 that receives light emitted from the light emission part 12 and converts it into an electric signal. The device of measuring an amount of emission light is configured such that the optical sensor 14 is irradiated with all the light emitted from the light emission part 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
