Water consumption at a site is determined by recording the temperature of a part of a water supply system between a water main and a site as a function of time. The recorded temperature as a function of time is analysed to determine a property indicative of the water consumption at the site. The apparatus may include a temperature logging device including a temperature sensor. Temperature may be recorded at a plurality of sites. |
