PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coherence tomograph in which analysis processing for estimating the expectation of each element of Jones matrix acquired by adopting an extremely novel method of judging the existence probability of a wave function as the birefringent appearance probability for estimating distribution of a phase difference of each element of the Jones matrix can be achieved in an extremely short time, and thereby a good birefringent quantitative analysis of a specimen can be executed.SOLUTION: An optical coherence tomograph includes: a matrix expansion step of converting Jones matrix into an extended matrix after converting the Jones matrix into a vector; an eigenvalue decomposition step of performing the eigenvalue decomposition of the extended matrix, and finding an eigenvalue and an eigenvector; and a specimen polarization property estimation step of estimating the polarization property of the specimen from the eigenvalue and the eigenvector of the Jones matrix acquired based on the eigenvalue and the eigenvector of the extended matrix.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
