PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an anatase titania deposited body having enhanced mechanical strength and durability as well as enhanced photoactivity and light irradiation efficiency and applicable to existing facilities, works, etc., by maintaining anatase type as the crystal type of fused titania. SOLUTION: Powder of anatase type titania having 30-100 μm average particle diameter and 25-200 μm particle size distribution or its granulated body is fused on a substrate 1 by plasma spraying and at least part of the deposited titania 2 is allowed to maintain anatase as its crystal type. The powder is preferably obtd. from an anatase titania sintered body formed by firing fine powder of anatase type titania having 5-300 nm average particle diameter and 3-500 nm particle size distribution. |
