PURPOSE: A folder type communication terminal unit and a display control method of the folder type communication terminal are provided to allow a user to immediately know whether a phone number of a caller is received simply at the sight of a lighted color by displaying a different color for an incoming call on a main display and a sub-display. CONSTITUTION: A controller(20) performs various controls as a microprocessor executes a control program stored in a ROM(20a). The controller(20) determines whether received caller information indicates a caller's phone number. If the caller information does not indicate a caller's phone number, the controller(20) selects a red color. if the caller information indicates the caller's phone number, the controller selects a green color. A RAM(20b) serves as a destination history information memory and stores corresponding colors for emitting a display unit when there is registered phone number and name and a voice call destination through an operating unit(23) by a user. Radio waves received by an antenna(15) is amplified in a transmitter/receiver(21) and correlated to a certain PN(Pseudo Noise) group signal in a modulator/demodulator(22) so as to be demodulated to digital voice information or digital information of baseband. The demodulated digital voice information is supplied to a voice processor(24), converted into an analog signal in the voice processor(24), converted into an electric-acoustic signal in a speaker(16), and then outputted as a voice. A main display(2) displays information of an incoming call when a communication terminal is in an opened state. A sub-display(18) displays information of an incoming call when the communication terminal is in a closed state.
