摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique effective for making a mode switching device compact-sized in a work tool. <P>SOLUTION: This work tool includes: a tip tool 119; and the mode switching device 151. The mode switching device 151 includes: a mode switching member 153; a driven side member 159; a mode switching mechanism part 147; an actuating member 155; and an elastic element 171. The actuating member 155 allows the rotating operation of the mode switching member 153 by moving the elastic element 171 toward the inside diameter of the mode switching member 153 while elastically deforming the elastic element 171 in the case where the linear operation of the driven side member 159 is regulated by stagnation of operation of the mode switching mechanism part 147 when the mode switching member 153 is turned for switching the mode. The actuating member 155 is returned to the initial position by the elastic element 171 storing resilient force to cause the driven side member 159 to linearly move when the stagnation of operation of the mode switching mechanism part 147 is eliminated to release the regulation on linear operation of the driven side member 159 in the state where the mode switching member 153 is turned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
