PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dangling of a bag body of a side airbag device economically by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This side airbag device to bolt-fasten and fix the bag body 1 of the airbag in a folded state along the roof side 2 of a vehicle room on the roof side 2 by a plurality of mounting parts 12 provided on the bag body 1 of the airbag is devised to prevent the dangling by hanging down the bag body 1 of the airbag by a tape member 5 easy to break in its expansion and development on brackets 4, 4 to support both ends of an assist grip 3 by projecting from the roof side 2 on a corresponding portion with the assist grip 3 which is a separate member attached to the bag body 1 of the airbag.
