<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which reduces image quality defects occurring due to an impact given to a transfer roll, when recording paper enters a transfer part, if the configuration of a surface layer is not considered, and can prevent the occurrence of paper wrinkles as well and in which formation of high image quality image can be stably performed and maintained over a long period of time, and to provide a transfer roll used for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer roll is constituted by successively layering one or more elastic layers 120 provided around the periphery of a metal shaft 100, and the surface layer 130 including a foam-containing layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
