PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high precursor separation capacity, while reducing the disturbance of a hyperboloid electric field in an IT-TOF (Ion Trap-Time of Flight) mass spectrometer which carries out MS/MS analyses. SOLUTION: A conductive mesh 8 is installed to an ion inlet hole 5 provided at one of end cap electrode 3, and a field correction electrode 7b is installed in the vicinity of the outside of an ion discharge hole 6 provided at the other end cap electrode 4, and a DC voltage having the same polarity as those of ions is impressed on the electrode 7b, as required. Although the disturbance of the hyperboloid electric field in the vicinity of the holes 5, 6 is corrected by the conductive mesh 8 and the field correction electrode 7b, at precursor selection; while carrying out correction of this electric field, unwanted ions can be discharged to the outside of an ion trap 1 through the ion inlet hole 5. Furthermore, when product ions are discharged through the ion discharge hole 6 for TOF mass spectrometry, since the ions will not pass through the conductive mesh, smearing of the mesh will not occur.
