PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a content file by preventing such state as a reproducible content file is divided and recorded in a plurality of devices or unintensional copying. SOLUTION: In the device of a source side, a copy of a content file to be moved is generated, and an interleaved divided file group is generated based on the generated copy. The interleaved divided file is generated by dividing the entire copy for each predetermined size, and using data collected from the divided files. When transfer of all the interleaved divided files is finished, in the device of a synchronized side, deinterleaving is carried out to restore the content file. In the device of the source side, the recorded content file and the interleaved divided file group are deleted. The invention is applied to a device which handles contents.
