PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system dynamically changing a communication policy for inter-agent communications; an agent terminal; and an agent program. SOLUTION: The communication system 1 comprises a database device 2, a client terminal 3, and an agent terminal 4 that serves as an agent for communication between the database device 2 and the client terminal 3. Each of the devices 2 to 4 has an agent. The client terminal 3 sends an information request to the agent terminal 4 to obtain desired information from the database device 2. The agent terminal 4 asks the client terminal 3 to provide client information appropriate for the content of the information requested; if appropriate information is obtained, the agent terminal obtains this information via a request to the database 2 and sends it to the client terminal 3.
