PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving apparatus for improving quality of a demodulation signal or of an audio signal to be played back based on the demodulation signal. SOLUTION: A receiving apparatus 1 includes: a front end circuit (FE 11), a noise canceler 123 for canceling, through interpolation, a noise component contained in a reception signal converted into an intermediate frequency; a noise detecting section 127 for outputting a noise detecting signal; and a demodulation unit 125 for demodulating the reception signal. The receiving apparatus 1 comprises a detuning detecting section 128 which outputs a first signal as a detuning detecting signal when a degree of detuning is equal to or greater than a preset threshold, or outputs a second signal as the detuning detecting signal when the degree of detuning is less than the threshold, thereby controlling the noise canceler 123 so as not to perform interpolation while the first signal is outputted from the detuning detecting section 128.
