PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone terminal apparatus or the like enabling confirmation of the condition of a belonging user of the telephone terminal apparatus without ringing the telephone terminal apparatus. SOLUTION: A plurality of different telephone numbers are allocated to facsimile equipment 100 of this invention and it is provided with a ringing part 105 to ring as needed when a call is terminated to the telephone number and a response part 104 for notifying a prescribed message as needed when a call is terminated to the telephone number, and at least one of the plurality of different telephone numbers is set to the telephone number for message response. When the telephone number to which the call is terminated is the telephone number for the message response, the ringing part 105 does not perform a ringing operation and the response part 104 notifies the prescribed message to the caller of the telephone number to which the call is terminated. Thus, the facsimile equipment 100 is achieved which enables the condition of the belonging user of the facsimile equipment 100 to be confirmed without ringing the facsimile equipment 100.
