<p>The device has a windscreen wiper drive (11) for pendular actuation of a wiper arm that is adjustable in a parking position. A brake unit (30) is provided for rub-fit retention of a component of the windscreen wiper drive of the wiper arm in the parking position. The brake unit comprises a brake shoe (32), which is adjustable from a release position (F) to a braking position (B).
