PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device and component mounting apparatus capable of monitoring objects of wide range of size in which the distance between two targets varies, with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A first lens tube 32 and a second lens tube 42 are disposed so that the travel distance S1 of a beam of light d1 from an electronic component 3 to a first mirror 33 and the travel distance S2 of a beam of light d2 from an electronic component 3 to a second mirror 43 are different from each other to avoid interference between the first lens tube 32 and the second lens tube 42 when the lens tubes 32 and 42 are brought closer to each other along an X direction. When monitoring a minute electronic component 3 with a pair of recognition marks with a small distance therebetween, a feed screw 52 is driven to rotate in a positive direction to move the first lens tube 32 in an X1 direction and the second lens tube 42 in an X2 direction. At this time, since the second lens tube 42 moves horizontally below the first lens tube 32, the lens tubes 32 and 42 can be closer to each other free from interference. |
