PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reverse rotation of an engine when raising the temperature of lubrication oil by the reverse rotation of an SOWC.SOLUTION: A control apparatus is used for a hybrid vehicle that includes: a rotation member rotating with an engine when starting the engine with a motor; a selectable one-way clutch that is connected to the rotation member and is switchable between an engagement state allowing an over-run and a disengagement state allowing rotation in either of forward and reverse rotations; and a clutch disposed between the engine and rotation member. The control apparatus performs: control for disengaging the clutch so as to disconnect between the engine and rotation member when starting the engine with the motor (step S4); and over-run control for causing the motor to rotate so that the rotation member rotate in a direction opposite to the direction of the engine revolving at starting it, with the clutch disengaged (step S5).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
