<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the removing rate of methyl sulfide and methyl disulfide by deodorizing a malodorous gas as a deodorization object by a packed tower type biodeodorizing method and thereafter, deodorizing the gas by a liquid dispersion type gas discharging method using an active sludge suspension. SOLUTION: In a packed tower 1 in a first process, a malodorous gas is brought into contact with a packed layer 3 making microorganisms which decompose the malodorous component in a wet state, stick and is deodorized. In this process, hydrogen sulfide in the malodorous gas is first biologically deodorized. As a result, a basic gas such as ammonia is absorbed and removed by the produced sulfuric acid at the same time. In a packed tower 1' in a second process, methyl sulfide or methyl disulfide remaining in the gas treated in the first process are removed by a scrubber method using an active sludge suspension kept neutral. In this process, methyl sulfide and methyl disulfide are decomposed by using the liquid which is prepared by suspending active sludge easily obtainable from a reaction tank of an aerobic biological treating facility for waste water.</p> |
