An aqueous medicinal composition comprises bifonazole as an active substance, methylcellulose and polyethylene glycol as a gel-forming agent, phosphoric acid as a buffer agent, nipagine as a preserving agent, castor oil as a solubilizing agent and the composition comprises additionally urea, spermaceti, and mixture of Lanette and Tween-80 as an emulsifier taken in the ratio 5:1 in the following ratio of components in the composition, wt.-%: bifonazole, 0.7-1.5; castor oil, 15-25; methylcellulose, 2.0-3.0; emulsifier Lanette, 3.5-7.0; Tween-80, 0.7-1.4; nipagine, 0.1-0.13; spermaceti, 3.0-4.0; urea, 3.5-4.5; phosphoric acid, 0.04-0.06; purified water, the balance, up to 100.
