<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of displaying anomalies of non-lighting of a chained system flash lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The system is provided with a plurality of lighting devices 1-1 to 1-n each equipped with a lamp giving flash light and lighting the lamps, and a control unit 3 connected in free mutual communication with the lighting devices 1-1 to 1-n through communication cables 7a, 7b and controlling lighting operation of the lamp for each lighting device 1-1 to 1-n. Each of the lighting devices 1-1 to 1-n has a monitoring part monitoring a lighting state of the lamp, and sends a monitoring result of the monitoring part to the control unit 3 together with a preliminarily given specific information capable of specifying its own device.
