<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control brightness in consideration of a reduction in the viewing function of a user due to aging so that the level of the user's vision can be nearly equal to the level at the time of the user's initial use. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system comprises a light source 2, a light source lighting device 3, an energization detecting part 5, an elapsed timer 60, a storage part 61 and an illuminance control device 62, and is connected to a power supply AC. First, energization by the power supply AC is induced by the user's operation. After the energization detecting part 5 detects the energization, the elapsed timer 60 starts measuring the time that has elapsed since the light source lighting device 3 was first energized by the power supply AC. Then, the illuminance control device 62 reads the elapsed time from the elapsed timer 60. The illuminance control device 62 determines the light control ratio for the elapsed time by using a correction table stored in the storage part 61, and outputs a light control signal based on the light control ratio to the light source lighting device 3. The light source lighting device 3 adjusts the magnitude of electric power to be supplied to the light source 2 based on the light control signal, and turns on the light source 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
