PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone separator capable of reducing the length of a vessel mainbody, surely separating a material to be separated, and dealing with horizontal installation, besides vertical installation. SOLUTION: This cyclone separator is provided with: the cylindrical vessel main body 1; a flow-in pipe 2 provided axially at one end side 1A in the tangential direction in relation to the circumferential wall of the vessel main body 1 and introducing fluid containing the material to be separated; a discharge pipe 5 provided axially at the other end side 1B in the tangential direction in relation to the circumferential wall of the vessel body 1 and discharging the separating object; a tapered pipe 7 disposed near the flow-in pipe 2 coaxially with the vessel body 1, drifting flow-in fluid to the discharge pipe 5 side, and formed to be reduced in diameter toward the discharge pipe 5; an opening part provided on the discharge pipe 5 side of the tapered pipe 7; and a flow-out pipe 8 inserted along a central axis of the vessel body 1 from the other end side 1B of the vessel body 1 and allowing the fluid separated from the material to flow out. The flow-out port of the flow-out pipe 8 is provided in an inserted state into the tapered pipe 7 from the opening part of the tapered pipe 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
