A method for manufacturing a light diffusion sheet for a backlight unit is provided to secure high luminance by excluding beads and prevent the inflow of foreign matter caused due to omission of the beads in cutting the sheet. A method for manufacturing a light diffusion sheet having photo-curable hemispherical convex parts for a backlight unit is composed of steps for fixing a polymer sheet having plural hemispherical concave parts with different sizes on the surface of a roll or a belt; coating either the surface where the hemispherical concave parts of the polymer sheet are formed or one surface of a transparent base material with a resin composition; contacting the coated surface to the non-coated surface and then pressing and hardening the surfaces; and separating the transparent base material having hemispherical convex parts corresponding to the hemispherical concave parts from the polymer sheet.
