<p>The method involves determining a direction and displacement speed (V) of a vehicle (VA) from positions of a vehicle provided by geopositioning units at different time. An area of interest (E) of elongated form is determined, where the area has orientation and length depends respectively on the direction and the displacement speed of the vehicle. The area of interest is an ellipse having large axis (GA) oriented along the displacement direction having length proportional to the speed of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a system for assisting navigation of user of a vehicle.</p> |
