PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize information by displaying external information at the point when the information is prepared by referring to unupdated external information. SOLUTION: In a knowledge information sharing system 50, an information collection part 54 collects external information (first piece of information) from an information source 60. The information collection part 54 detects the update of the collected first piece of information in the information source 60. When the information collection part 54 detects the update of the collected first piece of information in the information source 60, a difference detection part 55 determines whether internal information (second piece of information) prepared by referring to the first piece of information collected by the information collection part 54 exists or not. When the existence of the second piece of information is determined, the difference detection part 55 detects at least a portion referred to when the second piece of information is prepared out of the first piece of information collected by the information collection part 54 as difference information.
