<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a circuit element from being broken when a power supply on the display device side is interrupted, and save power consumption in case that a display device is connected to an information-processing device. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply monitoring-and-controlling unit of a display device is provided with; a signal-receiving part which receives a display signal from an information-processing device; a power supply-converting part which converts an alternating current power supply to a direct current power supply; a voltage-controlling part which generates a prescribed direct current voltage from the direct current power supply; a current-detecting part which monitors the variations of two kinds of voltages generated by the voltage-controlling part and detects an abnormal current which flows due to a potential difference between the two kinds of voltages on both sides of the voltage-controlling part; and an HPG-controlling part which receives a control signal of constant voltage supplied from the information-processing device, and transmits an HPG signal, which is produced from the abnormal current detected by the current-detecting part and the control signal and indicates a direct current power supply voltage supplying state, to the information-processing device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
