<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the sound pressure of the air passing sound caused by the operation of a fan motor during operation is high in a conventional dehumidifier and the air passing sound becomes noise in a state that quiet is required in a case that a person is present in the vicinity of the dehumidifier. <P>SOLUTION: In the dehumidifier equipped with the main body 1 of the dehumidifier, a luminous intensity sensor 6 for detecting the peripheral brightness of the main body 1 of the dehumidifier, a control unit 21 having a timer function capable of arbitrarily setting a control time and the fan motor 20 controlled by the control unit 21, the control unit 21 has a function for controlling the number of rotations of the fan motor of the dehumidifier on the basis of the detection result of the luminous intensity sensor 6 and timer function.
