PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated optical fiber which is excellent in lateral pressure characteristics and low temperature characteristics and employing a multimode fiber having a diameter of less than 125 μm.SOLUTION: Coated optical fibers 10, 20 are provided which have glass fibers 13, primary resin coating layers 14 and 24 coating circumference of the glass fiber 13, secondary resin coating layers 15 and 25 coating circumference of the first resin coating layers 14 and 24. In the coated optical fibers 10, 20, the glass fiber 13 is a multimode fiber having a diameter of a core part 11 of 40 to 60 μm and a diameter of a clad part 12 of 90 to 110 μm, the primary resin coating layers 14 and 24 are formed by curing a curable resin composition containing an oligomer, a monomer and a reaction initiator and the curable resin composition contains a one-terminal-non active oligomer of 30 mass% or more based on total oligomer amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
